|Crime Location:||Centre, Mifflin and Huntingdon Counties|
|Crime Details:||A recently formed robbery task force created to track down a man police think is behind four robberies in three counties — including Centre County — is asking the public for help in finding their suspect.
Police in Centre, Mifflin and Huntingdon counties are looking for a man with a distinctive, protruding jaw line with no teeth and a nose that appears pushed down to his lips.
Authorities said the spree of robberies started June 19 at a bank in Belleville. Other targets included a bank in Bedford and convenience stores in Huntingdon and Mifflin counties.
The most recent robbery took place about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 27 in State College at the Uni- Mart in the 1200 block of South Atherton Street.
There also was an attempted robbery June 29 at an Omega Bank in Bedford County that police say may be related to the other four heists.
Police are looking for a white male with dark hair, sometimes with facial hair, with a mouth that appears to “cave in at the lips, causing the suspect’s nose to drop down,” police said in a release.
The suspect is 30 to 50 years old with a thin build, standing between 5 feet 3 inches tall and 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Huntingdon, 627-3161, state police Lewistown, 717-320- 1010 or the State College Police Department at 234-7150.
