Penn State University Police are investigating an assault which occurred on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at approximately 2:30 A.M. at the bus stop located by College Avenue and Allen Street.
A verbal altercation between a twenty-one year old female victim and two male suspects broke out over the use of obscene language. One of the male suspects struck the victim across the mouth when she asked them to stop using obscene language. The blow caused injury to her facial area.
A twenty-five year old male victim attempted to assist the female and the two male suspects assaulted him. The male victim was assaulted and knocked to the ground striking his head on a nearby bench. Both the female victim and the male victim were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre Life Link Emergency Services. The male victim was later life-flighted to Altoona Hospital Trauma Center due to the extent of his injuries. He is currently listed in stable condition.
Both male suspects fled the scene on foot when it was learned that someone called 911. The description of the male suspects is two college-aged white males, one wearing a white short sleeved shirt.
